Why Diet? It has been looming over your head just sitting in the background. Diet! It just itches in the back of the neck and you’re going to start tomorrow you promise yourself this time.
It’s going to work, it has to it works for the guy on the magazine or the girl on the tv commercial. Try this new fad, pay x amount of dollars for y amount of time and you will see z results.
First off let me just state the obvious! That is a long process just to lose weight. It cost you an arm and a leg literally. Even worse, after 3 weeks you have forgotten the diet ever existed. This might not be the case for everyone. If I happen to have caught the attention of one of you, I was just like you. I thought I knew everything. I will be honest, I still think I know a lot. But I keep reading just so I know enough. So read on and learn something, why not?
Different State of Mind
A different state of mind is what you need in order to ‘achieve’ the desired results and gain the mental capacity to maintain those changes by effective lifestyle changes.
So first off, why diet? It’s not going to work and eventually you are just going to go back to what you were doing before you started the diet anyway. So why even try if you’re not going to go all the way? Don’t even start. But you can still get the results you wanted and I promise it’s easier than what you think.
A diet looks nice, sounds cool and makes you sound awesome to your friends, inside your own head. So we always do it because we are engineered this way by tv and billboards, Hollywood celebrities and fitness magazines. So we feel like we have to conform and we consume. We just start buying all the things that the tv told us to and eat all the food, because we have to eat 3-6 small meals a day.
I don’t know about you but I don’t stop to fill my car up with gas every hundred miles. That would probably waste time and I risk the possibility of putting bad gas in my tank.
If you wouldn’t overfill your car with gas why would you overfill your body with food? Even worse food that your body can’t digest it all, so it just stores.
Believe it or not the body is actually a powerhouse for your mind and you can change your body just by changing your mind. Simple things like thinking about breathing to relax yourself is something that I learned last, but wish I would have learned first.
Thinking is the First Step to Action
I’m not talking about learning how to breathe, I am talking about learning how to ‘think’ about breathing. Not just thinking about breathing in thinking about the air filling your lungs. Think about the oxygen coursing through your body, filling your muscles with energy and life. Think about the exhale as you force out carbon emissions, just like a car in that aspect as well when you think about it.
So literally starting to think about it will help you to gain more energy naturally and jump start your day just by breathing. The simple truth is you are able to unleash the power house factory that your body is capable of. Power house into the next phase of your own existence, you are able to uplift yourself into levels you never thought possible.
