Is Windows 10 more advanced than Windows ‘98? Probably yes in more ways than not. More memory. Faster. But is it truly more advanced 100%? That’s Debatable. Why? Because of backward compatibility. Not all applications supported on Windows ‘98 are supported on Windows 10. Take the software used to make floppy disks for the Korg DSS1 Keyboard for example.
More advanced means it can do everything the other unit can do and more. Breaking backward compatibility is modding yet giving up something the older system could do. It also speaks to how there are a few people in the world who have much control over what is “advanced” or “available.”
