I tend to not lean left, nor right. I find flaws on both sides, but I also find a lot of good values within the idea of ‘conservatism’, probably in more of a traditional sense. I was raised by my grandparents and they taught me different values than what I have seen reflected in my peers.

It’s My Right

I also joined the United States Marine Corps during a time of war, a war that had questionable motives as to why we were and still are there. Because of this I have been labeled ‘conservative’ by tech companies like Facebook and Twitter. My accounts have been suppressed and in some cases even suspended permanently for my expression of free speech. Which I personally should have zero restrictions or limitations, as long as it’s not promoting violence or pedophilia. Which is ok from the ‘lefts’ point of view, or the ‘liberal’ ideology.

That is more along the lines of a ‘do as I say, not as I do’ type mentality. I reviewed an article recently titled, Trump Drafts Executive Order To End Social Media Censorship of Conservatives. Recently he has signed such order, which I fully support as I have seen first hand my voice silenced and suppressed because of my beliefs, which is mainly just for us to be free regardless of what others think. President Trump was quoted saying in the article;

“Social Media is totally discriminating against Republican/Conservative voices,” Trump said on Twitter in August. “Speaking loudly and clearly for the Trump Administration, we won’t let that happen. They are closing down the opinions of many people on the RIGHT, while at the same time doing nothing to others.”

My Voice is Important

The President was right when he pointed out the hypocrisy and biased expressed on platforms like Twitter and Facebook. Here is a video of him signing the social media executive order bill.

Your Voice is Important, Too

When we silence the voice of others we silence ourselves and our ability to debate them, through civil discourse. Twitter is nothing but a biased algorithm which hides everything that doesn’t agree with their narrative.

Facebook is a whole other story, they have deemed themselves the worlds authority on truth. It is as if most tech companies believe they have a monopoly on truth.

George Washington said it best when he said; “If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.”
